Domperidone base is available in the form of 10 mg tablets, syrup, and drops. Drug dosage needs to be adjusted to the age and condition suffered. Domperidoneworks by accelerating the movement of the digestive tract, so that food in the stomach goes faster to the intestine. As a result, nausea can be reduced. In addition to nausea and vomiting, domperidonebasecan be used to treat gastrointestinal movement disorders, such as gastroparesis. Oral fast dissolving film (OFDF) is a very thin film preparation form, the use of which is placed on the patient's tongue or mucosal tissue in the mouth, then the oral film is moistened with saliva so that it quickly breaks down and dissolves to release the active substance in the oral cavity and then absorbs.The preparation of these OFDF preparations use the active ingredient domperidone Base with a wide range of formulations, with the addition of concentrations of PVP K30 150 mg; PVP K30 200mg; PVP K30 200mg to obtain good physical quality results. The method used in the manufacture OFDF Domperidone Base is a solid dispersion extrusion method.The method in this study is the experimental method (Experimental Research). This experimental study was used to determine the effect of using polyvinyl pyrolidone (pvp k30) as a film forming on the manufacture of oral fast dissolving domperidone base film. 10mg dose in the size of 2 x 2 = 4 cm2. 4 cm2 contains 10 mg of drug / active substance, so that in 600 cm2 contains 1500 mg of oba / active substance and is obtained 150 pcs per oral film.Data collection was performed on physical characteristics includingthickness, weight variation, expandability, tensile strength, pH of the preparation. The results obtained were 0.098 mm film thickness, weight variation of 0.048 gram -0.02 gram, expandability 87.39% -114.63%, tensile strength 0,017 kg/mm2–0,031 kg/mm2, pH4,6 –5,9 , content uniformity66,25 %-69,83 %. The results can be increased concentration, the smaller the elasticity of oral fast dissolving film.
