Analgesic drugs or painkillers are one of the drugs that are often usedindependently by the community without a doctor's prescription, this causes theemergence of several side effects of analgesi drugs. Analgesic drugs commonlyused by the public are nonopioid analgesic drugs such as aspirin, mefenamic acidand paracetamol because nonopioid analgesic drugs are not as addictive as opioidanalgesic drugs. Analgesic drugs have side effects including hypersensitivityreactions, stomach and intestinal disorders, damage to the kidneys, and can causeliver damage if consumed in excessive doses.Based on the research it can be concluded that the majority of generalsurgical patients who are treated outpatient use non-narcotic analgesics, as manyas 98.94%. Based on the sex that used the most analgesics were women as muchas 61.66%. The age that received the most analgesic therapy in general surgerywas 46 - 55 years of age 24.73%. And the last one showed that the most widelyused analgesic in this study was 50 mg of Dicklofenac Sodium 40 mg.
