FORMULASI DAN UJI MUTU FISIK SABUN MANDI PADAT KOMBINASI EKSTRAK LENGKUAS DAN KULIT KAYU MANIS

Galangal contains alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols and terpenoids. contains
phenol compounds which function as antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial.
Cinnamon is a spice that contains flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins and triterpenoids
which are antibacterial. This research aims to formulate a solid soap preparation
using a combination of galangal extract and cinnamon bark. This research is a
laboratory experimental research. Solid soap preparations use concentrations of
1%, 3% and 5%. Physical quality evaluation includes organoleptic observations
(aroma, color, shape), pH test, foam height test, physical quality test of the
preparation according to SNI 06-3532-2016. The research results were analyzed
descriptively. The results of the research showed that the two formulations were not
homogeneous because the extract was too dry so it did not dissolve. There was no
change in the organoleptic test parameters, pH test (9-10), foam power test 60% -
70%. The conclusion of this research was galangal and bark extracts. Sweet can be
formulated as an active ingredient in solid bath soap and the physical quality test
of the solid bath soap preparation meets the requirements.
