Dandruff is a chronic scalp condition that is found in scales or flakes of the scalp or excessive peeling of the horny layer of the scalp which is white to gray or sometimes yellowish in color which is oily but is not tightly attached to the scalp. One of the microorganisms that causes dandruff is Candida albicans. The aim of the research is to determine whether Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. extract has antifungal activity on the growth of Candida albicans fungus in anti-dandruff shampoo preparations. Research Method uses an experimental method consisting of a maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent. The resulting extract was formulated in a shampoo formula with a concentration of hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. extract of 25%, 50%, 75%. Testing for activity on the growth of the fungus Candida albicans used the paper disc diffusion method.The results of the research showed that the shoe flower extract (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.) shampoo preparation in the organoleptic test was in the form of a thick liquid, purple in color and had a distinctive aroma. Test pH 6.5, 6.16, 6.23, 6.38. Viscosity test 557 Cps, 579 Cps, 625Cps, 578 Cps. Homogeneity test is homogeneous. Anti-dandruff shampoo activity test concentration 25%, 50%, 75%, control (+), control (-), with an average of 15.62 mm, 14.73 mm, 26.43 mm, 42.25 mm, 0 .00 mm. The conclusion of this study shows that the hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.) extract shampoo preparation with concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75% has provided very strong inhibitory power against the growth of Candida albicans fungus with the strongest inhibitory concentration produced in formulation III with a concentration of 75% of 26.43 mm.
