<note>ABSTRAK
Bunga rosela (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) memiliki senyawa kimia flavonoid yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai antioksidan. Inilah yang menjadi dasar ekstrak bunga rosela dijadikan sebagai zat tambahan pada pembuatan sabun transparan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formulasi dan mengetahui formulasi ekstrak bunga rosela dalam konsentrasi 2% dengan penambahan asam stearat 30 gram pada formula 1 dan penambahan asam stearat 50 gram pada formula 2 dapat dijadikan sediaan sabun yang memenuhi mutu fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji derajat keasaman (pH), dan tinggi busa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratorium. Pembuatan sabun menggunakan metode panas (hot proses) dan cara pembuatan ekstrak menggunakan metode maserasi. Hasil uji mutu fisik diperoleh rata-rata ph 8,3 dan 8,4. Uji tinggi busa pada kedua formulasi menghasilkan tinggi 13,5 cm dan 13,4 cm . Uji homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa kedua formulasi sabun padat transpran ekstrak bunga rosela (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) tetap homogen ditunjukkan dengan tidak adanya butiran kasar ataupun partikel yang terlihat pada kaca objek dengan kasat mata pada formula 1 dan formula 2. Formulasi pada penelitian ini formula 2 dengan konsentrasi ekstrak bunga rosela (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) dengan asam stearat 50 gram yang menghasilkan sabun transparan yang terbaik.

ABSTRACT
Roselle flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) have flavonoid chemical compounds that can be used as antioxidants. This is the basis for roselle flower extract used as an additive to making transparent soap. This study aims to make a formulation and determine the formulation of roselle flower extract in a concentration of 2% with the addition of 30 grams of stearic acid in formula 1 and the addition of 50 grams of stearic acid in formula 2 can be used as soap preparations that meet physical qualities including organoleptis tests, homogeneity tests, acidity (pH) tests, and foam height. This research is a laboratory experimental study. Soap making uses the hot process method and the extract preparation method uses the maceration method. Physical quality test results obtained an average ph of 8.3 and 8.4. The foam height test on both formulations yielded a height of 13.5 cm and 13.4 cm. The homogeneity test showed that both formulations of transpran solid soap roselle flower extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) remains homogeneous indicated by the absence of Coarse grains or particles visible on the glass of objects with the naked eye in Formula 1 and Formula 2. The formulation in this study is formula 2 with a concentration of roselle flower extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) with 50 grams of stearic acid which produces the best transparent soap.</note>
