ABSTRACT EFFECT OF AMYLUM MANIHOT ON PHYSICAL QUALITY OF ORAL FAST DISSOLVING TABLETS SALBUTAMOL SULPHATE WITH CROSCARMELLOSE SODIUM Nugrahani Akhlaqul Karimah Putri, Deny Budi Legowo Salbutamol sulfate is a medicine for respiratory tract or shortness of breath. Salbutamol sulfate is a class I drug in the Biophamaceutical ClassificationSystem (BCS) which has a fairly high absorption and dissolution rate. This study aims to determine the effect of amylum manihot on the physical quality of OFDT salbutamol sulfate with crosscarmellose sodium as a disintegrant. The method used is wet granulation. Granule and physical quality tests were carried out on three replications with three different formulations (the first formulation as a control). The maximum wavelength of salbutamol sulfate is 276 nm. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah amylum manihot mempengaruhi mutu fisik OFDT salbutamol sulfat yang dapat dilihat pada uji mutu fisik khususnya uji waktu hancur yang lebih cepat. Hasil yang terbaik terdapat pada formulasi kedua dengan kombinasi bahan penghancur croscarmellose sodiumdengan konsentrasi 5% dan amylum manihot dengan konsentrasi 2% karena memiliki waktu hancur paling cepat yaitu dengan rata- rata 23 detik. Sedangkan fomulasi pertama sebagai kontrol dengan penghancur Croscarmellose Sodium 5% tanpa amylum manihot pada formulasi pertama memenuhi persyaratan dengan rata-rata waktu 54 detik. Dan untuk formulasi ketiga kombinasi bahan penghancur croscarmellose sodium dengan konsentrasi 2,5% dan amylum Manihot konsentrasi 2% menunjukkan hasil rata-rata waktu hancur 35 detik.
