ABSTRAK Diabetes Mellitus masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di dunia. Merupakan kondisi hiperglikemia. Pravelensi Diabetes Mellitus terus meningkat seluruh dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Insulin merupakan salah satu terapi farmakologis pada dibetes mellitus tipe 2. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil penggunaan insulin pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 rawat inap di RS X periode Maret-Mei 2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif non eksperimental. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara prospektif. Data diambil dari 135 rekam medis pasien diabetes mellitus rawat inap di RS X Mojosari periode Maret-Mei 2021. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini dengan kriteria inklusi dan didapatkan 45 pasien sesuai dengan kriteria. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan jenis insulin yang digunakan yaitu Rapid Acting sebanyak 25 pasien (55,6%), Pre-Mixed Insulin Analogue (Campuran) sebanyak 2 pasien (2,2%) dan Long Acting (Kerja Panjang) sebanyak 18 pasien (40%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis insulin yang sering digunakan adalah jenis Rapid Acting (Kerja cepat) dengan insulin yang digunakan Novorapid sebanyak 25 pasien (55,6%). ABSTRACT Diabetes Mellitus is still a health problem in the world. It is a condition of hyperglycemia. The prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus continues to increase throughout the world, including in Indonesia. Insulin is one of the pharmacological therapies for type 2 diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of insulin use in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus hospitalized at X Hospital for the period March-May 2021. This type of research was descriptive non-experimental. Data collection is done in a prospective way. Data were taken from 135 medical records of inpatients with diabetes mellitus at RS X Mojosari for the period March-May 2021. Sampling of this study was based on inclusion criteria and 45 patients met the criteria. The results of this study indicate that the use of the type of insulin used is Rapid Acting as many as 25 patients (55.6%), Pre-Mixed Insulin Analogue (Mixed) as many as 2 patients (2.2%) and Long Acting (Long Working) as many as 18 patients. (40%). The conclusion of this study shows that the type of insulin that is often used is the type of Rapid Acting with insulin used by Novorapid as many as 25 patients (55.6%).
