<note>ABSTRAK
Daun waru (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.) memiliki senyawa kimia flavonoid dan saponin yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai antibakteri dan antioksidan. Inilah yang menjadi dasar ekstrak daun waru dijadikan sebagai zat tambahan pada pembuatan sabun herbal padat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formulasi dan mengetahui formulasi ekstrak daun waru dalam konsentrasi 1% dan 3% dapat dijadikan sediaan sabun yang memenuhi mutu fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH, dan uji daya busa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratorium. Pembuatan sabun menggunakan metode dingin (cold proses) dan cara pembuatan ekstrak menggunakan metode maserasi. Hasil uji mutu fisik diperoleh rata-rata ph 10 dan 10,13. Uji daya busa kedua formulasi dengan presentase yang hilang 26%. Uji homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa kedua formulasi sabun padat ekstrak daun waru (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.) tetap homogen ditunjukkan dengan tidak adanya butiran kasar ataupun partikel yang terlihat pada kaca objek dengan kasat mata pada konsentrasi 1% dan 3%.

ABSTRACT
Waru leaves (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.) have flavonoid and saponin chemical compounds that can be used as antibacterial and antioxidant. This is the basis of waru leaf extract used as an additive in the manufacture of solid herbal soap. This study aims to formulate and determine the formulation of waru leaf extract in a concentration of 1% and 3% can be used as a soap preparation that meets the physical requirements including organoleptic, homogeneity test, pH test, and foam power test. This research is a laboratory experimental research. Making soap using the cold method (cold process) and the extraction method using the maceration method. The results of the physical quality test obtained an average pH of 10 and 10.13. The foam strength test of both formulations with a percentage loss of 26%. The homogeneity test showed that the formulations of the two soap extracts of waru leaf (Hibiscus tiliaceus L.) remained homogeneous, indicated by the absence of coarse grains or visible particles on the slide with a concentration of 1% and 3%.</note>
