<note>The prevalence of dhiarhea in Indonesia is considered high and one cause is Escherichia coli. The aim of this research was to determine anti-bacterial inhibition, effective concentration, and the effect of increasing concentration of ethanol extract of Hibiscus tiliaceusL. To the growth of E.coli. Extract of H.TiliaceusL. Was obtained by masseration using 70% ethanol as solvent. Bacterial   growth  inhibition  employed   Kirby-Bauer   Method  using   agar diffusion through wells.The results of the research in the inhibition zone with an  average  concentration  of 10%  3,84  mm,  the  average  concentration  of 30%  4,08  mm,  positive  control  (Chloramphenicol)  4,4  mm  obtained  an average with a weak category. Supported by ANOVA, the results are 0,541 more than 0,05, it can be concluded that the leaf extract of H. Tiliaceus L.Can inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli.With these results it is know that the 30% concentration of waru leaf extract has the most effect on inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli.</note>
