Metoclopramide HCl is used to relieve nausea and vomiting. Continuous nausea and vomiting may result in a harmful electrolyte disturbance, resulting in a medication that is formulated in a tablet that is expected to relieve nausea and vomiting.Metoclopramide HCl tablet preparations were made by using variations in the length of the external phase mixing process that is 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 15 minutes. Tablet preparations are made using wet granulation.Data collection was carried out by covering physical characteristics including oraganoleptic, uniformity in weight, uniformity in size, hardness of tablets, fragility of tablets, disintegration time of tablets, dissolution test and levels of metoclopramide HCl. Physical quality test results were statistically analyzed to determine the effect of the mixing process duration on the characteristics of tablets.The results showed that the preparation of metoclopramide tablets was 0.31mm thickness, 0.133-0.135mg tablet weight variation, 3-4Kp tablet hardness, 4.29-5.63% tablet fragility, tablet crushing time 1,53-5,13 minutes, content uniformity of 101.04-106.36%, and dissolution of 69.31-100.15%. The results obtained the longer the process of mixingthe outer phase, the greater the elasticity of the tablet.
